My Shadow Heart

We live in cities you'll never see on screen, not very pretty but we sure know how 
to run things. Living in ruins of the palace within my dreams. I'm kinda over getting
told to throw my hands up in the air, so there. I'm kinda older than I was when I
rebelled without a care, so yeah.

The music filled his head, and everything suddenly seemed so bright while it actually
was dark as the night. He had surrounded himself by shadows, had brought his knees
to his chest and looked into the darkness. His mother was shouting from outside the shadows,
telling him to calm down, that everything would be okay again, but he couldn't. He would
never calm down. He had warned her, told her to let him be. She hadn't listened. And so he
hurt the only person that had never once left his side. And he swore to kill everybody who
had made him do that. 

Foreword

Hello lovely Readers! So, recently I've really been into Heroes and Villains, so I decided to come up with my own story. Lysander, the stories main character, won't be your usual Hero, neither your usual villain. This story is somewhat a mash-up of the book “Steelheart”, the game “Infamous Second Son”, and the Marvel Comics (none in particular). However, all the characters are of my own creation. Any similarities to already existing characters is by pure coincidence. Also, the storyline is my own. As I said, it's a mash-up of two already existing stories and a wide range of Heroes and Villains. Please note that there is nothing completely new nowadays and that I'm trying hard for this story to be completely original.

I am new on this portal, so I'm really hoping to gain interest. So far, I've only written for myself, and have published one or two things on AFF.

This story is Rated for Violence and Language. I do not intend to put smutty content into it.

One last thing: English is not my first language. I try my best not to make any mistakes, but if they occur, please don't be too harsh on me. Thanks!
