born into a poor farmer's household it was expected of hoseok to take over the family business. however, at the age of 15 he was kidnapped and taken to a western land where he was sold into slavery during the 1700s. after years of rigorous work and pain he snapped, murdering a maid, the lady of the house and a coach driver. hoseok started to get sick after he was restrained and kept away from the other slaves. the doctor assigned to him purposefully adminstered drugs to kill him (hoping to put the young man out of his misery) and hoseok died of medical "error" after convulsing and hitting his head on the floor. when he came to he was in the pit, along with the other sinners and evil-doers. this has become his life.

(staff) jang yijeong + 21 + janitor
yijeong really didn't plan on doing much in his life. while he once had hopes and dreams he grew up and eventually forgot about them. he became cynical and pushed a lot of people away during his period of depression, only keeping the friends that wouldn't pester him with questions. after being saved from a suicide attempt and accepting his broken-off relationship yijeong got back on his feet. during the day he spends his time in clubs so dark it feels like perpetual night, partying and drinking before he goes to work at sunset. he cleans up after the idols and managers of an entertainment company - someething that's become a metaphor for his shitty life.

**park seungjun + 23 + rookie idol
deciding that the idol life was for him seungjun didn't go on to college. instead, he devoted his time to practicing for a debut that might never come. though he has an unhealthy obsession with food he magically retains his toothpick figure, awkward limbs and all. seungjun is most confident in his rap skills though he can also perform vocals. very rarely does he get angry, but when annoyed he puppy dog glares and sulks like there's no tomorrow. seungjun does not have skills speaking other languages but listens to music from around the world. recently, he's become the rapper of rookie group ph-nix.

dan avidan + 22 + son of apollo
an unexpected variable within the chain of demigod children attending mythos academy. for one, dan doesn't believe his father apollo is a god. at most he's just a dude with fancy powers. this is due to dan's father (originally a woman - ie. transgender) raising him in jewish culture. it was only when they moved to the big apple of new york city that dan's powers began to appear. before coming to the academy he witnessed the death of his match (soulmate) as they jumped from a snowy bridge into an icy river. this led to not only his use of marijuana, but uncontrollable depression and sleep paralysis as well. as a catharsis dan focused more and more on his musical talent, getting lost in pitches and rhythms no one else could hear.

gerard way + 39 + professional mourner
lonely in childhood due in part to his morbid curiosity of all things dark, gerard was used to not having very many friends. he had a close-knit group of people with whom he interacted with and that was good enough. when a fallout happened within the congregation they all went their separate ways. gerard began to travel, anywhere and everywhere, falling in and out of odd jobs (janitor, librarian - even the frontman of an underground rock band). however, past his thirties and in need of a stable income he was introduced to the occupation of professional mourning. people actually pay him to attend funerals and act as a member of the family. easy enough, considering gerard's a mighty fine actor. the pay is nice and he gets free food as well. from time to time he calls his family, having never actually broken ties with them, but continues his exploration of the world one death at a time.

heejun + 19 + student
it only makes sense that a boy like him would end up in a school like this - an academy centered around sex. kidnapped from his actualy family at the age of four heejun was branded and raised by the owners and staff of a highly esteemed brothel. although he followed every command given to him heejun was by no means a perfect soldier. in fact, most of the time he almost always had his own personal agenda. everything he learned about manipulation and lying he learned from his "parents" and used it against others quite often. when it came time for him to become a full member of the brothel the night was ruined (and he won't say how), resulting in heejun being sent to the school for "reconditioning." heejun doesn't mind, seeing as it allows him to enjoy both freedom and the very thing he was raised for as much as wants.
