Actually, feminism has been up for a long time and only more and more women or ladies are being aware of the issue and supporting it. In the past few months (?) I am surfing the net I could see many feminists voicing out their opinions to raise awareness of the lack of equal rights between men and women and other genders as well. Ofcourse, this gained many, various opinions; both affirmative and not. I, myself, am approved of what the issues women believe are injustice.

The reason why I made this blogpost is to simply share my opinion, I shall warn all of you that this will turn to a negative light. Yes, this could be seen as a rant, though, more constructive ( i guess ) I just cannot withstand the amount of the ignorance of a lot of people towards the real definition of feminism is which might have played a role in the stupidity they possess in regards of their views in the said issue. Others tell feminism is unecesssary and feminists are fighting for issues that women should not really concerned about because wage gap does not exist. In fact, womens are the one who get paid well along with employee benefits. Women are treated right while men are the ones who always get blamed.

Men would not be blamed if they respect the opposite sex.

Men have more options or choices of their job in the working field; model, chefs, doctors, lawyers, military, etc. You name any job and there will be men in it. (Or almost, if not all) Maybe it is time to let us, women, be given the chance to get a job and work in a field where men are the ones who are to be preferred on the position. In our current time, I cannot say women are not mistreated and walk out in the streets knowing they are safe without getting hooted by men who forgets what respect is. Catcalling is no different from rape, both actions causes to hurt someone's reputation and put one's self worth at risk. Someone might say "So now I can't greet a woman without being judged?" 

"Where are you going? Why don't you come over here baby and show me them tits; them jeans make those ass look good; hey babygirl; hey sexy" I don't know how whistling at a lady while telling her those words or phrases could be f*cking alright. What if someone come close to you and tell you that? Would you not feel offended and your rights are being crossed over? If you are a guy reading this and is still thinking this is nonsense, well then, what if YOUR MOTHER gets receive catcalls?

Rape is still occuring. It happens and it could happen to anyone, any where, any time. And people could still make rape jokes and laugh at it as if it is okay but these kind of jokes are not going to be funny or humorous in any way. This also one of the reasons why rape victims are scared to confess and take actions because people would brush it off or worse judge them telling they were asking for it if it happened anyway. The point is we tend to overlooked at this kind of events and not help the victim to recover from coping much faster and easier.

To close this post, I'll let you know what feminism is:

the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.
