About Me

Polycrystalline diamond (PCD), an extremely durable material, is employed to create the tip of endmills using an process known as sintering. This involves fusing small grains of PCD to the tip of the tool edge under intense heat and pressure. The sintering process is a way to fuse these particles with a tungsten carbide core creating an extremely durable tip.
