When one is alone

So maybe tonight ... It'll finally end," Vivi whispered as softly as the wind would blow on a mid summers night. Finally, she met her own eyes in her bathroom mirror. She had never hated someone so much. And she would have never thought it would be herself, that every cell within her spat upon. She couldn't bare to look at her reflection anymore. Throwing up wasn't exactly her thing, & right now she didn't want it to become so. She slowly stripped herself of her everyday clothes but leaving her underwear. The breeze of the empty mansion she was supposed to call home, caressed her near naked body, leaving nothing but microscopic pearls underneath her skin. She swiftly closed and locked the door, just so she could have a sense of security. As she dragged her way towards the bathtub, she carefully picked up a blade from a pencil sharpener her used-to-be best friend gave to her as a sick joke. She toyed with the rectangular piece of metal, as a an infant would with a shiny new rattle. Her eyebrows knitted as she accidentally gave herself the first cut of the night. It was nothing but a nick to the side of her index finger. The color red soon erupted from the opening of skin. Yet she felt nothing. She viewed her finger from different angles and perspectives as it began to trickle down her finger. Until she found herself looking deep into her reflection. Her facial features intensified the longer she stared at herself. She glanced at her finger through the mirror. She was trembling now. She brought her shaking hand to her face. She used her finger as a paintbrush against her cream colored cheek.
