‘It’s been almost three weeks, I haven’t seen him, heard from him, and felt him for three freakin’ weeks!’
“Hey Height! Are you gonna practice or not?!” Billboard asked him for the nth time. Since Bishie was nowhere to be found, Height joined every co-curricular activity to occupy time. The time he was supposed to spend with his best friend.
“Yeah, yeah. Just give me a sec.” Height said a little irritated because he was thinking of Bishie again. After gaining his focus, he went to his position and he and his team mates started to practice.

‘This is it. It’s time for the competition.’ Height thought to himself.
“Okay, guys! Let’s do this! Give all your best in our performance, okay?!” Laloo shouted words of encouragement to her team mates with a BIG smile.
“Hey! Have you guys heard? Bishie is back!” Goldfish informed the busy and probably excited- nervous dancers.
“Synthesis Dance Crew, you’re on in five minutes.” The coordinator stated by the door.
“Guys! Finish your make- ups! We need to look amazing up there!” Horsey panicked and ran around their dressing room.
‘He’s here?! I need to see him, NOW!’ Height made a mad dash outside the room.
“Height!!! Where are you going?! We barely have five minutes left before going to stage!” someone in the room shouted.
“I’ll be back, ASAP!” he shouted back, not even bothering to look back at the one who shouted.
Height ran as fast as his feet can make him through the sea of people and then there he was. He finally found the best thing he could ever see in the whole world, BISHIE.

“Bishie!” Height pulled him into the tightest hug he could ever give a human being.
“You’re here! You’re really here! I can’t believe it!”
“Uh… Height? Height, you’re team is next to go on stage.” Bishie simply said, trying to get out of Height’s grasp. When Height heard those words, he wasn’t going to lie that he felt a little disappointed. He missed his best friend for a month and all he got was a reminder that he needed to go on stage. He felt that Bishie didn’t want to spend any more time with him.
“Oh, sorry.” Height let Bishie go. “It’s great to see you again… I uh, I need to go now. You’ll cheer for me right?” Height said, trying to hide the pain in his voice.
“Of course.” Bishie said without any expression. When Height was to run to the stage, Bishie called him.
“Height!”
“Yeah?” Height turned around and was surprised when he felt a pair of lips n his own. He smiled in the kiss when he realised that it was Bishie and he tilted his head, just a smidge to deepen the kiss. But before he could do anything else, Bishie pulled away and reminded him that he REALLY had to go.
“Do your best, okay?” Bishie said, smiling softly.
“Okay, I’ll do my best for you.” Height wanted to say something more, but he doesn’t know if this is the right time. ‘Oh to hell with it’ he thought.
“I love you, Bishie.” Height said with all honesty while looking straight into Bishie’s beautiful and mesmerizing eyes. When he realized that Bishie wasn’t moving and saying anything at all he thought was: ‘Oh fuck, I’m dead’

“I love you too, now go. They’re probably looking for you.” When Height heard Bishie’s reply, he was filled with gladness. With one quick peck on the other’s lips, Height went to the stage and Synthesis Dance Crew started to dance.
The performance was what Bishie would define as PERFECT… well, except when it came to the last part and some of the props went wrong. And now it’s the time to announce who won. *Cue in music that would make people nervous*

“Good evening, Whizmitchmer Stadium! First, we want to thank all of the people in here. The staffs and crews, the audience, and the participants in this dance competition. And now, it’s time to announce the winners.” The president of YTKC Company, Dribble opened and the crowd was waiting for the results
“The first runner up… all the way from Colombes, The Dynamos!” there was obvious disappointment in the faces of the members because of their ranking. Bishie thought that they deserve it since most of them didn’t even took their dance seriously.
“In third place… The Roseville Mennonites!” surprisingly, the team was very happy even in their rank. ‘Well because this is their first time to place in the top three.’ Bishie thought to himself, recalling how many times the Mennonites came as runner ups. Ten.
“Now, the moment all of you are waiting for… In first place…” Tension started to fill the stadium. Bishie was worried that Height’s team would lose. The kids from Carvel High had such a good audience impact, their dance was amazing but he believed in Height and his team. He had such a great feeling that SDC would win.
‘This is for you Bishie’ Height was repeating those words in his head like a mantra, his heart was racing. He wanted to win this so BADLY for Bishie.
“SYNTHESIS DANCE CREW!” The crowd went into uproar. Everyone was standing, shouting and cheering, some are even crying.
‘Everything is for you, Bishie and people deserve to know it’ Height thought when the trophy was being handed to them.
“Congratulations! Does anyone of you want to say something?” Dribble asked. Height pulled the microphone out of her hand.
“First, we want to thank everyone who supported and helped us through it all, especially Manager Pinkie. Thank you for all the effort you’ve exerted to make our costumes, props, everything. To my team mates, all of us did great and we gave all our best so don’t think we didn’t deserve this. Now, I want to say something very important.” The crowd settled down and became quiet, showing that all of them had Height’s attention.
“Most of you guys know how close Bishie and I are. And I want you guys to know that…” Height took a deep breath before continuing.
“I love him.” The crowd was so quiet that even the slightest shift from a person’s seat would be heard. Bishie was watching Height, he was so nervous that he didn’t dare move from where he was seated.
“I love him so much that all the things I did on this stage was all for him. I love him so much that it comes to the point that I fantasize living the best life with him.” Height and Bishie can hear some of the audience cooing and spazzing.
“So Bishie, will you be my boyfriend?” Height asked Bishie with pure hope. All of the people were now looking for Bishie, he was only found when the spotlight was turned to his direction. The crowd was looking at Bishie, some telling him to go out of dream land say something.

Tears filled Bishie’s eyes and he nodded frantically it didn’t take a while to hear him say “Yes!” The crowd gave way so that Bishie could go to the stage. He jumped on Height so he could hug him and Height hugged back. Height spun Bishie around and when he finally put Bishie back on the ground, the both of them leaned in for a kiss.
“I love you.” The both of them said at the same time and smiled at each other. Height thought it was the best day ever, he won the competition, he proved that he can do anything and he had the love of his life and promised not to let go. EVER.
