Not me

It is a sight to behold.
Fresh orange and blue flowers are lined meticulously on the sides as the organ played and the singers sang at the top of their voices. I inhaled deeply as I stepped my foot forward knowing too well that a red carpet is lined towards the altar making me feel more of a queen.
This is the moment.
I smiled as people around me gave cheerful grins and nods acknowledging my beauty beyond compare. My hair that draped my shoulders hang loosely that gave it a very natural and chic look. My nails are beautifully manicured, my brows puckered and my cheeks glowed like roses kissed by the sun.
I saw him.
I inhaled softly as the drumming of my chest grew wild not knowing if the chaos is seen within my practiced facade. I saw him smiling back at me and grinning like a fool. He looks so happy as he threw a wink while all the eyes are focused on my direction.
For years I have been dreaming for this exact moment.
I knew it would be perfect as our eyes will meet each other gazes. We will have our little bubble where the only two of us exist. My greatest rival. My bestfriend. My soulmate. My destiny. My one and only.
He is the one.
He is pleased as I reached the end of the aisle. He walked towards me and gave me a hug.
"Thank you." he whispered under my ear.
I held that moment and took a mental picture inside my head. This is the last time I will be able to hold him like this. This is the last time that I can freely express all the pent up emotions that lasted for more than a decade.
I tried so hard not to whimper on this special day. This is a day of goodbye.
I slowly moved towards the left where all the other bridesmaids are waiting. They saw how misty eyed I am after hugging him but they didn't ask no more. I am his bestfriend afterall.
Finally.
She looks eternal on her white dress and walked as if she is flying. Everything about her is perfect. The eyes, the hair, even her little stubby toe I unintentionally mauled a month ago. His eyes are glued to her as if only the two of them existed.
"Just like how I pictured it." I sighed
"Only it is not me."
