The Joining

"Ugh , what are they going to make us do next?", Ser Jory asked.

"Are you blabbering again?" ,Daveth said annoyed.

"It's just fighting Darkspawn and doing this tasks, can't they just let us join and get over with."

"Are men all cowards, or is it just me thinking that?", you said irritated.

"I only know I have a wife waiting for me."

"I would even die , if that would  help end the Blight.", Daveth said.

"Ugh, would you two just shut up?"

"Yes, Ser Jory. Don't piss your pants.", Daveth said.

"At last we came to the Joining. The Grey Wardens were founded during the first Blight, by drinking of darkspawnblod.", Duncan said.

"We - We are going to drink their blood?"Ser Jory said with disgust.

"Yes , as we did before you, and as the first Grey Wardens did before us. That's the source of our victory ." Duncan continued.

"Those who survive the Joining, become immune to the taint, we can sense it in the Darkspawn and we use it to slay the Archdemon.", Alistair followed.

"We speak only few words, prior to the Joining. These words have been said since the first. Alistair , if you would?"

Alistair gave his little speech.

"Daveth step forward.", Duncan said.

Daveth took the chalice and drank of the blood, but it became to much for him and he died.

"I am so sorry , Daveth.", Duncan coninued,"Ser Jory?"

Ser Jory toook his sword."Bu-But I have a wife, a child, had I known--"

"There is no turning back."

"No! You ask to much! Th-There's no glory in this!"

Duncan grabs his dagger, Ser Jory tries to resist, but gets stabbed by Duncan.

"I am sorry..."

you looks at it in horror. "How did it come to this?"

"The Joining is not yet complete.", Duncan coninued merciless."You are called upon to submit yourself to the taint for the greater good."

you drinks from the chalice.

"From this moment forth, you are a Grey Warden."

As Duncan said this you passed out.
