Heart Strings

Description

   He, who had been after her for quite some time. She, who had been oblivious and hurt. The hurt that quickly dissolves as soon as he enters her life, and never leaves. Just from a tug of the heart strings. The love that bloomed became unbearable, and their story who becomes the new Romeo and Juliet. Their love that lasts forever, that continues to be read over and over, till the end.

Foreword

   " I just want to be friends," Kevin whispered. " I just want to be your friend," he reached out for her, but she retracted.

   " I- I don't need your friendship," she said flatly, voice breaking at the end. " I really don't need it. Go become someone else's friend, I'm not worthy enough of becoming your friend." She willed her eyes away from the beautiful face that belonged to the boy who stood in front of her. " I'll only make you look bad, no one wants you to have anything to do with me, just... just leave me alone," she croaked. " Please."

   He reached forward to grab her hands before she turned away. " Please. I just need this. I need to be with you. I don't care if you don't want others to know about our friendship. It means a lot to me that you would even look at me once. Please." he stressed the last word.

   Skyler looked up into the dark brown orbs. " Fine. We will. We will be friends," she shook her hand loose before walking down the hallway, leaving the other to stand and watch her retrieving figure.

   " I want to be more than friends Skyler..." he whispered. " When you're ready..." he allowed his hands to fall to his sides. " More than friends Skyler."
