Pet names were never our thing. Even when we first started hanging out together you called me by my name and I called you by yours. You said that you didn't know why people call each other by ridiculous pet names. Out of boredom, we started calling each other names like 'sugar cream puff pastry' and 'apple crumble peach pie'. We tried to outname the other, each pet name more ridiculous than the last. But we ended up laughing and you said that it only made you hungry.

After dinner, we walked back to my apartment (which later will be ours). I still remember how you slipped your hand into mine and tiptoed to whisper into my ear, "I think I'll be able to tolerate 'baby'."
