A A A A

On my daily walk at the graveyard I met a cat, it cried out in vain, troubled about something. I asked it why it was sad, but it gave me no answer. Instead its weeps became louder, sorrow clung to it, and it seemed to be in big grief. I tried calling it over, but it didn’t come, instead it glanced at me and its cries became louder. I wondered what was wrong with it, what had made it so heartbroken. As it strolled of I trailed after it determined to solve the mystery. We remained at the graveyard as we walked; the cat seemed to know exactly where we were going. After sometime it settled in front of an open grave, I had half been expecting it to stop at some old lady’s grave, but what I found would forever change my vision upon the feline. It beheld back at me and it wailed out loud. Its attention fixed back on the grave, and I decided to approach it, to see what all the fuss was about. In the grave 3 small kittens had delicately been laid, they were resting peacefully, as they would always do. The cat looked up at me again, then back at the kittens it was clear what it wanted me to do. I left the cat only to return with a shovel, as I began to dig it sobs became louder, but it didn’t attempt to stop me. When the job had been done I left the cat alone to mourn. The next day on my walk I encountered the cat once again, it remained the exact same spot as I had left it in the day before, and it didn’t seem like it was about to move. Not sure how I should deal with the cat I let it be. But the next day again the cat still remained. I started to get worried for the poor creature, could a cat die of grief, it seemed like I was about to find out. The next couple of weeks I encountered the cat every day, I figured it left sometime to go hunt, but still it couldn’t be healthy for it to stay here. My concern for it grew bigger, but I still didn’t know how to handle a mourning cat, so I only continued observing it. Eventually though the cat left, but it never forgot, at some occasions it came back, and I greeted it as an old friend.
