I continually eat my lunch while listening to Krystal until Michael and his friends came over. They were Gavin, Parker, Macy, and of course, Alyssa and Anna. “Hey Krystal!” Michael teasingly waved at Krystal while I was focusing on my lunch, trying hard not to look at him. “Hey Stephanie.” He said sitting down across from me diagonally.

“Hey! Someone stole my Pepsi! Whoever it is, they owe me 3 bucks!” This kid name Jake shouted out. Ellie and Claire, the “princess” of the school giggled on the side opposite of Krystal. “Here, don't make it obvious!” Ellie passed it to me and I looked like a idiot. Why did she pass it to me!

“Parker did you take it?” Michael asked and he shook his head. It took 5 minutes to figure out who took until they asked me. It was to late because I've already passed it back. “aww! Stephanie! Did you take it?” I looked down and shook my head. “Come on, have some fun at least.” 

Krystal said and fake laughed to everything. “Hey, are you still digging for Reagan?” He looked over at Macy and me and back to Macy. “Sure.” He didn't really say anything afterwards. He stayed pretty quiet. I spoke to Krystal about leaving and going back to class. 

“aye, no. Since we still have time why don't we shoot some basketball?” I looked like her with an eyebrow up. “You mean basket?” She shook her head and rolled her eyes. “Whatever basketball freak.” I laughed and we made our way outside. We met up with Mark and Kris and shot some baskets. 

I always have habit looking towards my left to see Michael. He was either with girls or with his 2 closest friends just relaxing by the tree. Every time I look over to him, I always find him look back with just a stare. Maybe it wasn't me, it was the person behind me. Just maybe.

“Hey Steph, you know the upcoming dance?” I nod and shot a basket. “Well ummm... Here we need to talk.”

He stepped aside to a tree infront of “Michael's” tree. He probably heard our conversation but that didn't bother me. “You see I kind of like Krystal.” My eyes widen and I somehow felt like the world just became brighter and brighter. “but! Please don't tell.! I got nervous and I don't know how to ask her.”

“Just simply ask her to the dance.” He laughed at my response. “And so that's why I'm here. Would you like to go to the dance with me? And just simply teach me how to ask Krystal.” I nod and beamed wider. “Thanks so much!”
