Foreword
Every day the cards wake up in a box that closed them in. They don’t like this at all and try to get out every time again. When they pushed the lid and it had finally opened, they would push themselves one at a time out of the box. Then they would pop out of their cards. Then they would see that they were in a kind of miniature house. They would look around and then straiten themselves. Every symbol would gather together. Every king would give a speech and everyone would listen. Then they would take places. The different symbols almost never communicate with each other. When the morning arrives they would slide in the box again and wait for the human girl to arrive and pick them up. Then they would go to sleep, until it would be night time again.
