The one where Clarke gets out

"Ok, how about two out of three?" I asked Matthew. Matthew shook her head and stretched her legs. Matthew was not like most of the creatures around my home. She was very intelligent, and her silence spoke volumes. Plus she has saved my life in more ways than one. I'm an Atriah, a citizen of the lost city Atriea. It isn't quite how people remember, if they remember it at all. A long time ago the city surfed the beautiful ocean waves. It was the home to a race that was one with nature. However, when I was a child we did something that angered the Gods. I'm not too sure what went down, but I remember a lot of screaming. 

We were cursed to live beneath the ocean never to see the light of day. Things were great for a long time. When I was twenty I got the bright idea of trying to escape and lead my people to freedom. I searched the caves that are around our city. There I found a beautiful Emerald, but when I touched it, it fused with my skin. It was a painful process, and with it brought a curse. I can not die. I can get hurt, and I pass out for days depending on my wounds. I always come back though. Every time it is lonelier than the last. Which is why I'm grateful for Matty. "But I really do not wish to leave. You know what happened the last time," I said. She gave me a stern look. I threw up my hands and sighed heavily. I put on my backpack and gave her a small nod. She climbed up, and sat comfortably on my shoulders the way I sat on my Father's shoulders when I was a child. Or at least I like to think I did. To be honest I don't remember too much of anything before a few years ago. I have a deep scar on the top of my head, I figured that something happened the last time I tried to escape. Luckily I kept a journal, and I have been able to piece together my life.

We started to walk towards one of the tunnels when a weird yellow thing popped out. Beside it was someone who appeared to be like me. My eyes opened with delight. "Wow!" We both said at the same time. Matthew started to growl softly, and I knew that meant she sensed something was wrong. I unsheathed my sword and pointed it at them. "Who dares to enter into my kingdom?" I said puffing out my chest. I pretended as if I belonged here, I mean I did, but I was sure I didn't own this place.

"Hi, I'm Finn and this is Jake," the one who appeared to be Atriah said. "We didn't mean to barge into your kingdom Princess." I narrowed my eyes. "Erm-I mean Queen?" He said unsure. 

"We didn't mean any disrespect," The other one said. 

"Matthew does not trust you, I should kill you on the spot, but I'm feeling generous." I said nonchalantly,
