It was early in the morning, but all of the houses were wide awake and were all heading to the Great Hall. The first houses to arrive were Hufflepuf and Ravenclaw, who were talking with each other peacefully, and looked really happy to be together.
But as soon as the Gryffindor and Slytherin came in, the atmosphere was tense. Everyone shut up and went to their perspective tables. Everyone knew that since the first days of Hogwarts Slytherins and Gryffindors never had a peaceful relationship. After they were done with their breakfast, they divided themselves into small groups, some of them would be having Potions Classes, and others would have Charms classes and so on.
Heather and Adrienne were heading to the potions classes, and both of them were really glad to be able to get into the houses, that fitted their personalities the most. As they were getting in the Potions Classroom, Draco pulled Adrienne by her arm.
“Adrienne, you have to understand, that we Slytherins, don’t like mud bloods. Don’t talk to people like that; it will only bring to shame our image”
She simply nodded and got into the classroom. All of the tables were occupied, except one, the one that was next to Harry Potter’s. She didn’t want to sit there, at first she tried to persuade Heather into changing tables but she didn’t want to, and she didn’t know anyone else. So she had no other choice besides being next to Harry Potter.
Professor Snape came barging in and went to the front of the students. “Today we will be making Armotentia potion. But I would like to know, what you know about this potion. Mrs. Heather please”
“The love potion, or more known as the Armotentia potion, is an extremely powerful love potion. Although it doesn’t actually produce real love, it only produces infatuation, and it’s also most likely to be an obsession” Heather had finished her answer and all of the Slytherins were whispering things like “Mud bloods, always try to know more than pure bloods” and “Nerd”.
All of the students started doing their potions, the first ones to have it ready were Hermione, Heather and Luna, as a reward Professor Snape had let them leave the class sooner. But unfortunately the ones that couldn’t make the potion would have to stay and clean the classroom. The only people that couldn’t do the potion correctly were Adrienne and Harry.
Adrienne would have to clean all of the cauldrons, which were indeed filthy and disgusting and she would also be organizing the potions books. In the meanwhile Harry would be cleaning everything else.
Adrienne was cleaning the cauldrons, when she noticed that Harry wasn’t there anymore. “Where did he go? Did he just left, and I’ll have to do everything?” Adrienne murmured and started looking for Harry, only to find him reading the old books.
“Hey Harry, I don’t if you have noticed but you pretty much haven’t done anything. Could you please stop reading that book and get to work?” Adrienne tried to take the book away but to no avail as he was taller than her, she couldn’t reach it. Harry walked away, and started doing what he had to do, and Adrienne did the same.
“Ouch” Adrienne screamed in pain making Harry look at her. “What happened?” Harry asked as he did his work. “One of the glasses broke, and it cut my hand” Adrienne informed him and he simply nodded making Adrienne look at him. “Thanks a lot for your help, and then people say we Slytherins are the ones that are rude”
“I never said I would help you, so I wasn’t actually being rude! You were the one that was expecting me to help you” Harry retorted making Adrienne gasp. “It always looks good to help someone in need, you’re seriously an idiot!”
Harry went next to her and grabbed her hand forcefully, making her wince in pain; he took out his wand and said “Episkey”, her hand felt hot and then cold. She raised her hand and noticed that it was now healed. “Thanks a lot Harry” Adrienne thanked him, and he nodded.
“Well, I’ll be on my way since I’m done with my chores” Adrienne waved and left the classroom leaving Harry there alone.
The afternoon had come; Adrienne wouldn’t be having any classes so she would be going around the school, with Draco, because she still didn’t know the whole building. They would be starting with the library and would be ending with the Quidditch Camp.
“So yeah, Adrienne, this is the library the home of the nerds. You’ll find a lot of Ravenclaws here and Hufflepufs as well!” Draco showed her around the library and she nodded with everything he said. “That part over there is restricted, meaning students can’t get in there!”
They left the library and went to the astronomy tower. As they were heading to the Astronomy Tower, Draco would never stop looking at her. “Hey Adrienne, I heard something about you” Draco broke the silence making her look at him. “I heard you always get what you want, so I want you to do something for me”
“What is it?” Adrienne asked, and Draco smirked. “I want you to have Harry Potter, play with him, play with his feelings” They had now entered the astronomy tower; Adrienne was shocked with what she had just heard. “Why should I do something like that?”
“Because, I’m the boss, here. And you’ll do what I want. You have the whole year to make that happen” Draco informed her and Adrienne simply nodded “I’ll do my best”. “I always knew you were a good girl” He started going up the stairs and Adrienne followed him, she was amazed at how beautiful the view was, and how the Tower was so pretty.
When they were done, with the Astronomy Tower, they headed to the Owlery. “Be careful the stairs are slippery” Draco warned Adrienne, and she started walking slowly, so she wouldn’t fall and end up hurting herself.
“There are so many owls here, they are all so pretty” Adrienne tried to touch some of the owls but they, would always fly away. The Owlery was a really cold place, because it didn’t have any windows or doors, but the worst part was that there was a lot of owl poop on the floor.
“And now let’s go to the best part of the whole School. The, Quidditch Camp. You know I was a, pretty good seeker” Draco informed her as they headed to their destination, Adrienne who was actually tired of hearing his voice, just nodded with everything he said.
The Quidditch Camp was a delight for Adrienne’s eyes. As she was a big fan of flying, she loved the camp. And it was also really good that no one was practicing because if someone was actually practicing they wouldn’t have been able to see the whole camp.
As it was gradually getting darker, they were already in The Great Hall, having dinner. Today the atmosphere was livelier than it was on the morning. Some of the Ravenclaws were talking with Slytherins, and like always Gryffindors were talking with the Hufflepufs.
In at least 20 minutes, all of the houses were done with eating their dinner. And were going, to, their common houses. The prefects, like always were in the front commanding the group so no one would get lost.
Soon it was midnight and Adrienne couldn’t sleep, her mind kept reminding her about the bet she had done with Draco. She didn’t know if she should really destroy Harry’s feelings. She wasn’t a person that usually hurts someone else, especially over a bet.
She was getting exhausted, from thinking so much. Her mind kept wandering off and she couldn’t stop asking herself questions like: “Should I do it? But won’t that destroy my reputation?” “Why is Draco, asking me to do something like this?” “Why did I sign up for this?”
She soon fell asleep, in front of the fire, her body was so tired that it didn’t even move an inch. She woke up sometimes but her eyes would always close again, making it impossible to head to the girls’ dorms.
