Wendy Son (Son Seungwan), Kim Jongdae (Chen), and Ayumi Nakamura (OC)
Description
On a scale of one to ten, how can you rate your love for someone you've never met?
For Wendy Son, it is a hundred times more than ten. As immature or impossible that sounds, that's what she feels whenever thoughts of Kim Jongdae would float in her mind. She imagines herself as someone who can be his best friend, older sister, mother, and girlfriend at the same time in different situations of her life. She knows to herself that the both of them are kindred spirits, despite their slight differences. In every opinion that he gives out in all forms of social media, especially in YouTube, there wasn't anything that she didn't agree on.
While people in her age are busy mingling, clubbing, partying, and more, she is devoting herself in staying posted with all Jongdae's updates and statuses - even if she has to stay until the wee hours of the night. Since she knows that she doesn't have the money to send him expensive gifts or the confidence to write him heartfelt letters, replying to all of his posts are her only way of catching his attention. She didn't mind the complaints of her mother because catching him online is what matters to her the most.
Unfortunately, Kim Jongdae never responds.
On a scale of one to ten, how can you rate your love for someone you've briefly met?
For Ayumi Nakamura, it is a hundred times more than ten. As childish or juvenile it sounds, that’s what she feels whenever thoughts of Kim Jongdae would float in her mind. She imagines herself as someone who will always be there for him, someone who will accept his flaws, someone who will entertain him with her stories, and someone who will resist the arguments because of their differences. Although she knows to herself that they are complete opposites, she believes that they are always bound to attraction. In every content that he puts out in all forms of social media, especially in YouTube, she finds herself agreeing to them even if she has no idea what some of them meant.
While she manages to keep up in her fast paced lifestyle of working and partying, she never forgets to hit Jongdae up whenever he’s online – much to the appreciation of everyone around her. She always shows her dedication as much as she can by sending him expensive gifts, purchasing his merchandise, and updating him about her life. Most of all, she never fails to message him every day because it has always been a habit for her on a daily basis. She is thankful for the support that a lot of people are giving to her, especially whenever she gives him sweet nothings, because she knows to herself that they will someday end up together.
Fortunately, Kim Jongdae always responds.
MAIN CHARACTERS:
Wendy Son (Son Seungwan) Kim Jongdae (Chen) Ayumi Nakamura (Nam Yumi)
Foreword
Author's Note:
I have to apologoize that this will have a somewhat cliche route but I promise that I will try my best to incorporate a lot of elements to boost its originality.
This story is inspired by all forms of fandom culture, especially in social media and its effects on teenagers. Besides that, it was also inspired by stories "Fangirl," "This is what Happy Looks Like," and "Just One Day," songs of Ariana Grande's "A Little Bit of Your Heart" and Girls' Day's "Look at Me."
Instead of focusing on the usual KPOP industry, my story will delve on the world of YouTube where a lot of music covers, original songs, how-to videos, skits, and other forms of media possible are found. Because of that, there are chapters in the story that will contain clips from several YouTube stars and by the end of each chapter, I encourage you to support them because they're all amazing.
Besides YouTube, the story will also revolve around several forms of social media as well. It will basically show the several moments of fandom culture in the online world so if you see any chapters that have incorrect spellings or whatever, just let them be since some are projecting the world online. The events of this story will be quite slow as well because it will give more emphasis on the characters' feelings and thoughts, especially behind the computer or cellphone screen.
I hope you'll enjoy this story, I'm praying for all of your love and support!
