"Oioioioi Everyone!" Hiro greeted everyone while standing behind the teacher's desk. "What is it?" asked Shimada, the one who made commotion during the representative election. "I'm resuming my $$ business." he smiled. "Now, it's a good time to earn money since we are graduating soon." Shimada looked surprised. "Oi, you were caught last semester for that and you dare to do it again? I'm interested but... I can't take the risk anymore." said Shimada who was wavering,
"Are you trying to land Shimada into trouble again?" asked one of his sidekicks, Izumo. "Nope. I just thought since Shimada loves it so much and our other friends are anticipating its comeback, maybe I should resume the business. I'll lower the bidding cost so more of us can play. How about that?" he smiled "Aniki, don't be caught again. Just ignore his antics."said Izumo.
"Update me if there's anything." Hiro was elated because mainly the people who were involved in the business knew Shimada so Hiro took the chance to bring it up to him once again although they were caught in the act and served detention together.
During Homeroom session
"As you all knew, our school always hold a yearly competition of various themes such as Singing, dancing or performing. So, this year our vice-principal has concluded a theme for this year's competition. Yoshimura started scribbling on the chalkboard.
"Roleplay Skit."
Everyone looked surprised. "We are bad at acting!" someone remarked. "Why don't Yoshimura just act all the characters." asked Hiro. "Acting is just wasting of time." said Shimada. Yoshimura tried to calm them down. "Relax, chill. There's one good news." he said. They looked up. "Not all will be participating. I don't foresee a group of 40 on the stage acting together. It will be a one BIG mess. So, good luck to those who will be chosen and good job to those who will be not. Tomorrow, Kiritani will draw the lots I'll be bringing into the class and he will PERSONALLY choose the people he wanted them to act in this skit. Everyone's okay with that?" asked Yoshimura.
"Bad" Hiro uttered under his breath. If Kiritani chooses, then high chance that Hiro will be involved in this boring skit.
After Yoshimura left the classroom, Hiro stood up and confronted Kiritani. "If my name happen to appear in ur mind..." Hiro pointed at his head, "...you watch out." Kiritani pushed up his spectacles slightly and smirked. "You want to beat me? Bully me? Oh please. Now, I've become the representative, don't you think of touching me even with that dirty finger of yours. I'm sure you have forgotten that Yoshimura favors me now and has his backing. You volunteered to step down so I don't think your opinion does not matters anymore." he walked off, leaving Hiro irritated.
"Not going for your club activity today?" asked Haruto. Hiro was feeling bored, fiddling and kicking whatever he saw on the ground. "Not in the mood. Let's go somewhere." 3 of them just gotten on their bicycle when suddenly a girl dashed across and stood in front of them. "Oi, what, eh, OIIIII!" Hiro couldn't brake in time so he swiveled his bicycle in the other direction and managed to stay off the ground. He looked around to see her standing in front of Masaya.
She gave him a box of chocolate and a letter and bowed. "Please accept this!" Masaya looked at Haruto. Hiro knew this kind of things will happen and he might blow up if she will become his 21st girlfriend. " I like Masaya-kun. If you accept this, will you go out on a date with me?" That was one straightforward invitation. Even Hiro was quite amazed as he always thought the guy has always been the one who ask the girl out for a date, not vice-versa.
"Oi, oi, you woman. Before I'm going to hear all these cheesy stuff, you should not dash out from nowhere just to see your Masaya-kun." Hiro glanced at him for a moment. "You like him a lot, don't you? Don't care about what he did in the past?" Masaya punched his arm. "Shut up!" She looked up. "I just want to go out with Masaya-kun. I don't think and care about other things." While Masaya thought she was not bad at all, Hiro was in disbelief. "Don't say it too easily."
"You are Daisuke's brother, HIro right?" Her eyes were deeply staring at him. He nodded. "I've heard a lot about you. You are not someone who takes things seriously right? Making fun of others, bully other people? I don't think you deserve to say that in my face." Hiro was appalled. First time in his life, a first year has disregarded respect towards him, her senior. "I pity Daisuke for having a brother like you." Hiro's face turned serious. "What else he said?" Masaya and Haruto were glancing at him at times. "He is too unhappy with his life to cope with someone like you in the house and school. You bully and hit him as per you like. That makes you a man?" she asked.
Apparently, Daisuke told her lots of things that happened between the brothers. Hiro didn't expect he would tell these to an outsider and that what made him angry.
"Is he your best friend? Do you know him that well until you know what kind of undergarments he wears to school? Do you know about his past, has he told you EVERYTHING about it? Dear friend, if you are truly his friend, make sure that he won't go through a path like I'm going through. Instead, you should be spending time supporting and fixing his behavior. He requires fixing, you know. Guys, I'm going home. Someone just ruined the mood to have fun. Oh yeah, Masaya, if you are going to accept this girl, I'm going to kick your ass until you cannot stand up straight anymore."
THAT NIGHT
"You told off my friend for telling you off. Aren't you at fault?" asked Daisuke. "Maybe." Hiro was reading his Naruto manga. "You don't have any slightest remorse at all, huh? Being high and mighty yet when people told you off, you cannot accept." Hiro snapped his book close and looked at him. "You have no idea what I was angry at, do you?" he asked. "Who knows? You like to be angry at everything." he replied. "Well, it defeats a purpose in me telling you. I can't be bothered with this." Hiro headed down to the kitchen for dinner.
"How's school?" asked Dad. "Boring." Hiro replied. "Not bad." Daisuke's answer was bearable. "What happened? Both of you fight again? When both are not talking means, there's a serious problem between both of you. Come, let's trash it out." He knew both of his sons has grown up and exerting pressure and anger upon them would do no good in their family relationship. "You can ask Daisuke. I've nothing to say and won't say anything." Hiro continued his dinner, chewing as he stared at the food blankly.
"Hiro, Daisuke has the right to think and if he feels comfortable talking to other people about his personal problems, he can do it. I think there's nothing wrong." their father commented as they sat in the living room and talked it out. "You see, if you have any problem and usually for a kid, they would find it hard to confide in their parents or their siblings, so they turned to their friends. Daisuke just wanted a listening ear." Hiro looked at his father earnestly. "What if there are people who just simply couldn't confide in other people? Where would those people stand? How we are going to help those people? Dad, in other words, you are letting Daisuke tell other people about his personal stuff but wouldn't it be bad if people judge the affected people based on that? I mean, I LOVE to thrash this guy but I feel it's just between us. There' s no need for other people to know."
Daisuke chuckled. "You are afraid people judging you and you cannot accept it. Hiro, if that's the case, then you should stop. I've had enough." said Daisuke. Dad put his hand on Hiro's shoulder. "Daisuke is right. Your mum has a hard time to pacify both of you. It's better that you change and be considerate towards her feeling." Hiro remained silent. It was obvious Daisuke's literal reasonings were approved and supported fully by dad. He have no other reasons to continue the conversation.
