Elevator

The class was about to start. Everyone was almost seated. The lecturer came in and turned the large screen on while the students still chatted slowly. The class mostly consisted of international students. Only one was English and his name was Mike. He was a handsome, young lad. His habit of pushing his curls back swooned many girls. He was whispering to his friend, Conleth, about their recent trip to Congo. Their conversation died down as the lecturer started talking. Most of the students took notes. Conleth scratched his hippie tied hair and didn't bother with his slightly torn shirt, which he considered fashionable. He wasn't bad looking, it was just his sense of attire that made him look shaggy.

Class went on and Conleth was bored. He quickly took out his phone and silently texted another classmate, Servinaz. Servinaz got the text and tried not to snigger. She replied with an emoji and looked at the screen. She pushed back her perfect silky brunette hair and tried to concentrate on the class. However, he continued sending her secret and funny messages. A girl beside Servinaz noticed what she was doing. She read some of the messages and sighed. She shook her head disappointingly. Her name was Demi.

They received a small break during the class and the girls-Demi and Servinaz-started speaking in Turkish. None of them could understand what they were saying. Servinaz noticed another classmate speaking in another language. Servinaz called out to her.

"Tissa!"

The girl, Tissa turned to Servinaz and smiled. She would always interfere whenever Tissa spoke in her native language.

"You look gorgeous."   It was a habit of Servinaz to compliment Tissa whenever she put a little makeup.

"You are a bad influence."   She retorted jokingly.

"Baby, I'm fabulous."

Tissa always admired her sexy French accent. No wonder she was the candy of their class. Every guy had a crush on her. Tissa couldn't deny her own crush on Servinaz.

Class resumed and soon ended.

After the class, Servinaz and Demi walked together in the elevator as the rest followed. Conleth joked about something to Servinaz which the rest couldn't follow. The elevator stopped on the ground floor and few got out first and before the rest could leave, the elevator closed.

"What the hell?"   Servinaz pressed few buttons but it didn't work. Conleth tried too and didn't work.

"Press the alarm button."   Mike suggested but it didn't work.

"What's going on?"   Demi panicked a little. She had ADD, therefore, she was a little more sensitive than the rest.

"Try calling someone."   Tissa said and they all tried. However, the signal failed them. After few minutes, Conleth got tired and yelled out for help.

Mike kicked the elevator door and the entire place shook up. Demi held Mike out of fear.   "What's happening?"

The shaking stopped and the elevator door slowly opened. The bright lights caused them to shield away and they no longer found themselves in their university, but an unknown open field.

They were not in their university anymore.
