viii. milk tea

It was one bright morning wherein Wook found out that I wanted to study about the different medicinal herbs that he decided to bring in some of a few to make me memorize their uses and names while Ji-ae helped me.

"My Lady, how are you going to memorize all of that?" Ji-ae asked as she stood beside me.

"Just take a few in your mind and memorize those first before you can move and memorize the others." I explained, smiling at her.

On the other side of the eight prince's residence, he was at home with his ill wife, Lady Hae while she was being examined by the royal doctor. Lady Hae had fallen terribly ill and Chae Ryung was keeping her best to take care of the eight prince's wife.

As the royal doctor left the household, Lady Hae sat up from the bed and looked at Wook, her husband.

"What do you see me, Your Highness?" She asked in a low tone.

"Wife." Wook answered.

"I have not done anything as your wife. I have not even given you a child." Lady Hae spoke sadly. And then she added, "You should...marry another one. It will be fine and okay for me." Lady Hae smiled sadly to Wook. "You...like that child of Lady Oh from Damiwon, right?" And that's where Wook was hit cold. His wife knew all along.

"I'll talk to her one time and tell her about all the things she needs to do and serve being as your wife."

Meanwhile, inside the palace. Eun, Eunha and Baek Ah are enjoying tea inside a pavilion of the castle.

"This black tea tastes off for me." Eun spoke with a sour expression on his face.

"It tastes fine for me." Baek Ah commented after he's taken a taste.

"Well would you like your tea's to taste sweeter?" Eunha asked. Eun was the first to nod his head eagerly.

"I actually managed to get this out of the kitchen. Just don't tell them I did it." Eunha giggled and took out a cup of milk. She poured into Eun and Baek Ah's cup of black tea and soon, the color's changed into lighter brown.

"Okay, you can now try tasting it again." Eunha said.

Eun and Baek Ah slowly lifted the cup into their lips and instantly, their expressions changed.

"Wah! This is good Eunha!" Baek Ah spoke as he turned to look between his cup and Eunha.

"More please Eunha!" Eun commented.

"What do you call that, Eunha?" Baek Ah asked.

"Milk tea." Eunha smiled. Eun called some of the servants and asked for more black tea and milk and all three enjoyed milk tea some more.

And not just far away, Wang So was standing three meters away from them, watching them. His eyes most definitely on Eunha. Watching at how she talks with the princes and how she smiles.

{ this is the shortest chapter I've written. Not even going to call it a filler chapter. Also, yesterday, I have published this book in FanficOverflow.
