Cop Car

Kai and Gabriella drove right past the “no trespassing” sign, causing Gabriella to scold Kai like her little brother would, indeed, she was Lloyd’s older sister.

“Kai Smith, you’re gonna put us both in trouble.  Myranda won’t be pleased to know that you’ve got her truck impounded.” She told him.

“Relax, we’re ninja.” Kai told her.

She sighed in annoyance as Kai parked Myranda’s Chevy and they both sat on the tailgate, watching the planes take off.

They thought they had all night, there was no need to rush, that’s when those cops came pulling up.

“Man, ain’t this some shit.” Kai mumbled, “Garmadon is gonna kill me.”

“Meh, I’m pretty sure Lloyd will.” Gabriella laughed.

But if Kai survives tonight, he wouldn’t change one thing, he knows that sounds crazy.

There was something about the way the blue lights were shining, bringing the freedom in Gabriella's eyes, maybe it was Myranda's influence, maybe it wasn't.

Kai decided to think it was Myranda's influence rubbing in on her, after all the girls are best friends.

Kai was too busy watching Gabriella going wildchild to be worrying about going to jail.

Gabriella was thinking that running for it would make a good story, Kai thought she was crazy as hell.

They weren't playing, when they had put on those cuffs quickly.

"Come on, we're the ninjas who saved the city, you know we're awesome." Gabriella told the cops, trying to sweet talk them, but she failed miserably, but it was super effective on Kai.

Gabriella was on the left and Kai was on the right.

"Can I have a light?" Gabriella asked, Kai knew she didn't smoke so he just laughed.

The cop got mad and slammed the door.

"I swear Garmadon and Lloyd are gonna kill me." Kai told Gabriella.

"No, they're not." Gabriella told him.

"I swear, Garmadon's gonna kill me and Lloyd will bring me back from the dead to kill me again." Kai told Gabriella, this made her laugh.

They were side by side, locked in tight, the cops took their sweet time, but they didn't mind.

"Pfft, I wonder what Jay would say." Kai said.

"He'll probably have a panicking fit and start saying puns." Gabriella told Kai.

Kai laughed and Gabriella started laughing, they sat real close as well.

By the time they let them go it was morning, yet Kai was already gone, mentally.

When they got back to the Monestary, they were greeted by a very angry Lloyd and an annoyed Myranda.

"My Dad needs his pick up truck, what happened to it?" She asked.

"Uh, funny story, our date ended up getting us caught by the cops." Gabriella nervously told Myranda.

"WHAT!" Myranda bellowed, she grabbed Lloyd's wrist and stormed off with him, looking for a Chevy Colorado pickup truck.
