Kazir and Adisa stood in the charged silence of the bathroom, the weight of what had just happened hanging heavily between them.

Kazir’s heart raced as he fought against the urge to kneel and surrender to the intoxicating pull of Adisa’s presence. He watched Adisa intently, noting the tension in his expression—a conflict between concern and undeniable longing, a primal urge consuming him entirely.

“You need to go home,” Adisa said quietly, his voice steady but strained. Their faces were mere inches apart, the air charged with an electric energy that crackled between them. Kazir could feel the heat of Adisa’s breath against his skin, sending shivers through him as he trembled with anticipation.

Kazir leaned in, his heart pounding as he weakly nodded, feeling the heat building inside him. The desire to feel Adisa’s lips against his own again consumed him—he could almost taste the sweetness of the kiss, the warmth of Adisa’s breath washing over his skin. Yet, despite his longing, Adisa exercised restraint. His body was tense, on edge, craving something he wasn’t sure he could control.

“I know,” Kazir whispered, though the words felt weighted and heavy.
Adisa glanced away for a moment, rubbing the back of his neck as if trying to clear his thoughts. “I don’t want to let you go alone... but I don’t want to do anything to you.”

The air between them felt thick with unspoken tension, but Kazir could see Adisa was regaining some control. The sharp scent of Adisa's pheromones was slowly fading, and his composure was returning. Still, Kazir knew this wasn’t over—his own body was betraying him, pulling him closer to Adisa in ways that made it hard to breathe, let alone think.

Taking a deep breath, Kazir made a decision: if an alpha was what his omega body was telling him he needed, an alpha is what he was going to get until his suppressants decided to act right.

“Take me home,” he said, his voice soft but resolute.

Adisa’s eyes snapped to his, widening with uncertainty. “Kazir…” He trailed off, clearly unsure of what to say.

“I…” Kazir hesitated, feeling the weight of the risk he was about to take. But he had to be honest. “I think my heat’s starting. And I—I feel unsafe.”

Adisa’s expression shifted immediately, his worry and protectiveness flaring up. “Of course,” he said quickly, his voice firm now. “I'll take you home.”

Kazir exhaled, relief and apprehension swirling together.

“Didn’t you drive?”

“I’ll get my car tomorrow.”

They spent the next few moments trying to pull themselves together—straightening their clothes, wiping the sweat from their faces. Neither spoke, but both knew there was a high probability of what would happen next. The weight of that unspoken reality hung in the air between them. The pull of pheromones, the heat in Kazir’s body—it was undeniable now.
As they walked back to the table to grab their belongings, avoiding the curious gazes of their coworkers, the tension simmered just beneath the surface. Their eyes met briefly, and in that fleeting moment, there was a silent acknowledgment between them.

They weren’t just heading to Kazir's apartment to drop him off.

There was a storm brewing inside Kazir, and Adisa was the only one who could quell it. And neither of them was sure how—or if—they could resist what was coming.

“Come in,” Kazir said, his voice low, tinged with something close to desperation. He opened the door to his apartment.

Adisa hesitated for a second longer before stepping inside. The door clicked shut, and the soft sound seemed to amplify the heavy air between them.

Inside Kazir’s apartment, the tension was immediate.

They stared silently at each other, replicating the ride over.

Adisa opened his mouth to say something, but Kazir didn’t give him the chance. With a sudden burst of urgency, he closed the space between them and kissed him.

Adisa’s resistance melted instantly as he kissed him back, his hands instinctively finding Kazir’s waist. For a moment, they were both lost in it, their bodies pressed together as if trying to fuse into one. But then, with an effort that seemed to take everything in him, Adisa pulled back, holding Kazir at arm’s length, breathless.

“We shouldn’t,” Adisa rasped, his voice heavy with restraint. “You’re not in your right mind. You’ll regret this.”

Kazir shook his head, the haze of desire clouding every rational thought. He felt dizzy with desire. He could smell Adisa, and his pheromones were so strong and so thick, he knew that Adisa was far gone too.

All Kazir knew at that moment was that he couldn’t stand the space between them. He stepped forward, erasing the distance. He gently kissed Adisa’s cheek and dragged his lips to his chin as Adisa breathed roughly in his ear.

“Kazir,” Adisa whined, his chest heaving with the effort of his deep breaths.

Kazir dragged his mouth along the sharp line of Adisa’s jaw and up to his ear, biting the hanging flesh there. He ran his hands up Adisa’s firm body, licking that patch of skin behind his ear—the one that snuck into his dreams and had tormented him since the first time his eyes found that little sesame seed behind Adisa’s right ear.

Adisa trembled as Kazir’s hot, wet tongue brushed against the fine skin behind his ear before he sucked there, marking him. His scent got stronger.

“Kaz—”

“I want this,” Kazir said resolutely. He lifted his head, found Adisa’s mouth, and, their breaths mingling, said, “I want you.” Adisa’s grip on him instinctively tightened. “Being with you... it’ll help.” Then he kissed him. The kiss was desperate, searching. Adisa readily kissed him back.

Adisa’s resolve was weakening. He wasn’t pushing Kazir away anymore, and Kazir could feel the intense wave of Adisa’s pheromones surrounding him, seeping into his senses like a drug. It was intoxicating—better than any suppressant or inhibitor. Kazir felt like he was floating, high, drunk, completely consumed. Now he understood why omegas chose to spend their heats with an alpha. This—this was bliss.

Adisa broke their kiss, and for a second, his expression flickered with doubt. He tried again, his voice soft but conflicted. He grabbed Kazir’s shoulders. “Kazir... I don’t want you to regret this tomorrow. We need to talk—”

Kazir interrupted him, his eyes dark with desire. “Are you going to make me beg?” The desperation in his voice was palpable.

Kazir was willing to do anything to keep this moment, to feel Adisa close. “We can forget this tomorrow,” he whispered, his lips ghosting over Adisa’s.

Adisa’s grip on his shoulder tightened.

“Just tonight... please.” And Kazir pressed his mouth to Adisa’s chin, working toward his plush lips.

Adisa released Kazir’s shoulders, and his hands traveled up to his face. He cupped Kazir’s cheeks and said, “No. I don’t want to forget,” Adisa murmured against his upper lip, his voice low and heavy with meaning. Then, with a groan, Adisa bit Kazir’s bottom lip gently.

Kazir nodded, not knowing what he was agreeing to, desperate to kiss him.

He pressed his lips to Adisa’s. This time, it was different—there was no hesitation, no restraint as Adisa pulled him deeper into the kiss he had initiated. The kiss was deep, passionate, and filled with raw emotion that, by the time Adisa was sucking on Kazir’s tongue, he would have given him the world if he had asked for it at that moment.

Kazir felt everything at once—the warmth, the hunger, the way Adisa’s lips moved against his. It wasn’t enough. He wanted more. He needed more.
