Footsteps quickened from behind the female dawdling along. Not a beat passed when the girl was soon faced with a boy she was somewhat familiar with.

Shima had now caught up with his target. “Hiro Chan~ I hear you’re living in the same block as Yukio and Rin in the boy’s dorm?” He put on his best smile and hoped to make some progress with his awkward classmate.

Barely slowing down, Hiro glanced to her company with a blank expression. “What of it?” She bit down into the bubblegum ice lolly as she waited for a continuation.

Practically jogging to keep up with the odd female, Shima struggled to keep the wide grin plastered on his face due to having to exhort himself so much in the blistering heat. “If you ever get lonely-”

“I never get lonely.” She cut him off and upped the pace a notch in order to leave the annoyance behind.

Being the type of person he was – at least when it came to women – Shima stuck it out and set off into a sprint despite the scorching afternoon sun and the inevitable trouble he was going to have to go through. “Okay then, if you ever need anything-”

Hiro abruptly stopped and turned on her heels to face the pest that often followed her during their free time. “What could I possibly need from you?” She nodded upwards in a couldn’t-care-less manner and folded one arm under her chest.

For a split second, Shima ogled her full chest, but quickly came back to the real world when he felt holes being burned into him. “E-heh-ehe…Just take this. Please?” He rooted through his pocket and handed over a slip of paper while giving a hopeful expression.

Glaring down at the paper she had plucked out of Shima's hands, to the boy, and then back again, Hiro cocked her head and took a sharp breath as if she was thinking. “What’s this? The number of years it will take for me to date you?” Shoving the item back into the horrified boy’s hands, the female strode off without a care.

Wiping the tears from his eyes with one hand as the other dramatically reached out after the back leaving him, Shima croaked after his intended victim. “It was my phone number.”
