Mornings

The house was still. No movement could be detected. Oh wait.. It was only 8 in the morning- wait what? 8 o'clock? 

The Queens were still in dreamland, school started in 45 minutes but no one had stirred. Finally some sort of movement was detected in the furthest corner of the room. Grace Queen, eldest of five sat up, smoothing out her long brown hair. Slowly she got up quickly grabbing her uniform to get ready for school. After getting ready she woke up her younger siblings who tossed and turned.

After finally getting the second oldest sibling Faith to wake up, she headed downstairs to get breakfast ready. She wasn't the biggest cook, but her food was edible, and that was all that mattered.

20 minutes later her siblings came down like zombies in school uniform. It was now 8:35. She quickly urged them to eat their breakfast. They all mumbled a 'thanks' before stuffing their mouths with the French toast.

Grace arrived at school and she could feel stares on her, she hated attention but there was nothing she could do, except walk faster. 

"Hey Grace," a boy whose locker was next to Graces smiled at her, "how was your weekend?" Grace continued to get her books out of her locker, "Good, all I did was practice for my next comp! By the way are you coming?" 

The boy nodded, "Course, wouldn't miss it for the world." Grace poked her head out of her locker and smiled, "thanks, I'll work harder to make the performance even better." 

And just like that, her bestfriend had fallen even deeper for her.
