+About Lily Kuren

Lily Kuren, a pacifist from the outskirt of Fujishima. Before her life advanced in Cross Academy, she had been living in a café of one of her friends, Micah, a vampire, for a while. She was not one of them, nonetheless. She was 100% a human.

Amidst the war between the vampires and the hunters, and the innocent humans in between, there were people, people who were against any of that practice. These people had the same desire, had the strength, too. But various motivation. And they were various kind, too. Vampire, hunter, and human be as one. Lily was one of them.

She survived because of friends. Yeah, friend. Travelling town to town in a period, around one until three months, and she would come by his friend’s shelter, and would gladly be welcomed. A human in this bloody circle, was one of the rarest thing in the world. Human was practically the weakest among them after all. And being the only human girl, not to say the youngest, too, made her the endearing one for the other.

Once in a grim moonlight night, under the full moon, the first trigger had been pulled. A level-E vampire had broke into the town, consuming her human friends before her very eyes when she was passing by a desolated lane she wanted explore out of curiosity. Right there and then, her blood was boiling. Fortunate, she always wears those special gloves with her on an outing. She was ready to dash forward. But the vampire’s move came into a halt. He glanced over his shoulder towards her, a wicked smile plastered on his face, and then he let go of her friend. Thank God, she saw him still breathing although uneven. The vampire walked closer for some reason.

She knew that look.

That was a nasty look they gave when they saw a majestic prey. A pureblood. But why? She wasn’t even one of them for all you know. But there was no need to think further as she moved her right hand at lightning speed. But the vampire dodged it well. She jumped back, analyzing. But before she could strike more move, a muffled bang resounded right beside her head, then pierced through the head of her enemy. The vampire was combusted into sand right after.

The head or the heart, she recalled the hunter’s saying.

She looked back to see her friends already gather with worried face. Some of them ran quickly over to Guill, her friend who was almost consumed to death. Micah was there on the party at that time, looking at her almost pitying. As if he knew something she didn’t.

What happened later at the night was something she always cussed at; body feeling hot and weak without any proper reason. Micah knew this well because it was the second time after she lived at the café for about two months already. And each one was always on full moon night. It was as if her energy was absorbed by something she couldn’t see. Too much life energy sucked by something, she held it for the best she could. Finally she was too tired to stay awake and decided to go to bed. Micah saw her with a sad face. He patted her head, moving her hair away from her face, for all he knew she wasn’t going to wake up soon after she closed her eyes. This time, maybe it will take all day long, he thought.

He stared at her body. It was too well built for a human girl who had just started joining the Pacifist for a year.

She was training her arm by tossing ball as far as she could. So far, she only reached 500 meter on top. And after the last toss went so far she couldn’t see it anymore, she decided that it was best to rest her arms, and now off to her legs instead. She ran after the ball, noticing that there was a thick high wall on her way. Not even thinking twice, she got start and tossed herself to the wall before jumping over the wall.

And then she met a girl, surrounded by a pack of what seemed to be level-C vampires. Shoot. She wanted her ball, not a fight again. But what could she do? She ended up defeating them and now carrying the girl on her back to the school building.

And what she didn’t expect at the end of her helping hand session, was that she got the chance to attend school. She never knew school life, or maybe she was. She was not sure. The only thing she remembered was she was there on a cold pavement before walking around aimlessly, and eventually life shaped her to be whatever she was now.

And she accepted it gladly.

The next day, Micah was brightly said to her to look for herself. She notice a small glint of sadness, but because he was smiling, she smiled, too.

Micah knew her prior destiny would come sooner or later. And he knew that Cross Academy would be the best protection to her, since she had been literally in there.

Although mind was innocent as a newly born duck who didn’t know how to swim, she noticed Aidou, one of the vampire uneasiness when she came in as a night student. Night student would mean that she attend the Night Class, and lived in Moon Dormitory, all of them that was originally made for vampire, and apparently not only vampire.

And she couldn’t help it when the full moon effect—that was what she called it—got the best of her. Usually she could handle it, but somehow, tonight was maybe not her lucky night. Uh-oh. Two vampires approached her. Their coming didn’t make her cringe, but her energy was drained too much for herself to stand properly. The alarm was ringing warningly in her mind. She almost got ready to fight, when a crack of ice broke the hot air.

It was Aidou.

He casted them back to the dorm for their own good, and her, too. Then he looked at her with a stern (and a bit flabbergasted mixed with worry) face. The look was like skinning her alive. She didn’t want that look on her. She preferred the worse one, or maybe the best one, rather than any worrying look she could ever get.

Seeing him made her blood rustled. From that moment on, she knew she would meet him many more in the upcoming episodes of her life, which was slowly coming to an end—she believed—or a new start.

+++

There was something about her blood. That was what she could conclude day after day passed. The dream on the men who whispered softly just for her, gave her the kind smile, and in the end, said goodbye to her with a tearful face. It was annoyingly coming to her sleep more often than not. Sometimes, it was just an uneventful days with them. Sometimes, she would be in a broken town. She didn’t understand what her dream was.

+++

Her life was in the hand of the purebloods.

So was they.

It was a war of who had a wider hand to grasp the other.

a/n: This is a spin-off. She is my OC, staring my fanfic in VK fandom on FFN. I just felt like writing this since I love her, my first OC ever in fanfiction world.
