Description
Jack saw the black head rise and Jack saw Pitch Black notch his arrow aimed towards Sandman. Terrified with his heart thumping relentlessly in his mouth, he jumped out of North's sleigh despite Bunnymund's protests. He put on speeds he had never even bothered to find out to intercept that arrow. The lethal black arrow made of fear. The arrow raced straight and true towards Sandman impossibly fast as the wind whistled through the air. Quickly Jack thrust his staff in Sandman's direction forcing the driving wind towards Sandman who was fighting the nightmares. However Sandman didn't seem to budge and the arrow sped on. "No!" Jack wasn't sure who yelled that out as the black arrow landed with a thick thud into his chest. In his peripheral vision he could see Toothina racing towards him, ignoring calls from Bunnymund and North.
He looked down at his chest and during his three hundred years he had never felt anything like it. Pitch smirked as he looked over Jack. "Well this was unexpected. But not a bad surprise. "
"I-" Jack started, his mouth dry. His body was gradually being covered with black sand, spreading outwards from his chest. He felt his grip on his staff loosen and the air holding him up weaken and he fell into the waiting arms of Toothina. His hands hung loosely by his sides, his staff rested on his chest, as he watched Sandman lash out with his golden tendrils at Pitch. North and Bunnymund approached but then noticed the nightmares and proceeded to destroy a handful of the dreaded nightmares.
Jack felt like something was crawling over his skin and Toothina's cries faded in with the background as only a monotonous drone. He grabbed at his throat and pulled at his face as a terrible chilly feeling washed him. He heard faintly Toothina yell something out and drop him as if he had burnt her. He was fully consumed in the black sand as he free-fell to the ground as he made no attempt to use his staff as help. It felt as if every single cell in his body was burning and the black sand irritated his skin and he plummeted screaming and scratching at his face, neck and arms.
In that short moment, he thought he was going to die. The ground was zooming in and the concrete looked anything but inviting. But he made no effort to slow himself down as the only thing that he noticed was the powerful stinging sensation that swept through his body. Only meters to go he noticed shadows sweeping across the road down directly underneath him. There were no light to cast these shadows, nor were there objects. But Jack did not dwell on this as a black gaping hole opened in the shadows. He managed to throw a glance over his shoulder in terror and saw Toothina in hot pursuit, but too far and North pulling her into his sled as he sped towards Jack. Jack attempted to reach his arm out, maybe in hope that they could grab it. But the only thing he was able to get was Pitch Black in the distance throw Sandman off and cackle as he watched Jack fall.
"I will see you soon, my dark ice prince."
With that comfort Jack wished he didn't have, he fell deep into darkness's realm.
Foreword
That part in the movie where Sandman dies instead, Pitch has decided to take Jack.
This is my first story here so I hope you'll enjoy it.
Oh, by the way, it's not black ice.
