~Don't Want To Leave You, But I Have To~

     They were freshmen when they met each other. But now it was their Senior year. They had applied to the same colleges. They applied local and to as far as New York. Either way, they wanted to go where the other would go. And now they were on the eve of their graduation. The school had accepted them as a couple and they never faltered. The school in a way admired how tough their love was.

     They sat on the roof of Her house.

     So have you gotten word on your college? He asked.

     Yeah. You?

     Yeah.

     They looked up to the moon. For some reason they didn't want to know where they were going.

     She spoke first. So where are you going?

     I only got into New York.

     What?

     Yeah, looks like we are going to New York.

     She turned away. He could hear her crying.

     Whats wrong?

     I only got into the one here.

     What do you mean?

     Forget it, I'll go with you. I care about you more than school.

     No, you worked so hard, and we spent so much time working to get your grades up. I want you to go to school. I'll stay.

     It won't work.

     What won't?

     This relationship.

     We love each other. That's all we need.

     You don't get it do you? We can't survive long distance. Nobody has survived long distance.

     We can be the exception. In four years we come back. We'll meet at the park, at our tree.

     She turned back. I don't know.

     We can do it. I know we can.

      They kissed on her roof. But they both felt that they weren't gonna see each other the same any time soon.
