Ch 4

“Isn’t he handsome? The most handsome man I have ever seen.”

I glance at his slender figure.

“He looks weak,” I say.

She shakes her head, “Don’t you see? That’s his charm.”

“He doesn’t even know you.”

Her eyes have a fiery look in them.

“He will.”

“What is he? He isn’t a normal vampire.” Thaddeus, the owner of the bar wears a serious expression on his face. Allisia, the auburn haired vampire waits for his reply. “I don’t have a clue either,” he answers. A thin vampire wearing glasses slams his fist against the table. “We can’t keep doing this! How long are we going to sacrifice our own kind for that—that vampire!”

“If we don’t he’ll kill us all,” Thaddeus calmly replies. “Unless—we kill them first.” Thaddeus, Allisia, and Kane turn at the sudden arrival of the fourth leader. “I thought you weren’t interested in such matters,” Allisia states with a raised brow. The vampire chuckles darkly, “Of course not. The matters of all vampire kind is of no interest to me, but a cannibalistic vampire, now that’s interesting.” Allisia makes a disgusted face, “Another one of your experiments, how do you plan on preserving the body? We all know we turn to dust as soon as we’re stabbed in the heart.”

“Nonsense!” Kane shouts, knocking his chair over in his outburst. “We can’t do anything to endanger our kind. Whatever you’re up to won’t do us any good!” Thaddeus places the glass cup he was wiping on the table, “Besides didn’t you just suggest we kill them—Gargan?” The vampire smiles, “Yes, killing them is the best thing to do. I want that cannibalistic vampire just as dead as you—if you want him dead that is. Once he’s dead I can open him up.”

“And how are you going to do that?” Allisia asks. Gargan smiles secretively, crossing his fingers, “I can’t tell you that Allisia.” Kane glares at the vampire in disgust, “You are just as bad as that cannibal vampire.” Gargan just chuckles, “So…it’s a yes?”
