Chapter 11: An Old Cottage. And flooding memories.
It was getting to night soon and Xiaoling is still out there in the town or outside town currently. She decided to go out of town and look around but on the way she got a little side tracked and done other things along the way. (Hehehe!) “AWW! I’m so tired!” Xiaoling shouted. She continued to walk and saw lights ahead. Xiaoling walked more to see where the light came from and saw…………………………….
(the suspense is building up
And building up even more!
AND MORE!!!!
Huh? Okay okay ill stop)
A COTTAGE! Xiaoling felt so relieve that she jumped in the air happy and without second thoughts she ran to the cottage and knocked on the door. But by the time she finished knocking she realised what she had done, it could stir up trouble. Xiaoling standing anxious, on what people could open this door. No, no, no! Stupid me! Stupid me! The door squeaked open and then suddenly the person swung opened with a wide happy smile. “Oh! Is that you? No, of course it’s you, Xiaoling!” the person said. Xiaoling was shielding her eyes from the sudden gleaming blinding light. How does this person know my name? And sounds like an old hag/lady. “Welcome my dearest! Chen! Come see who has come! It’s wonderful! Come in!” The person took hold of Xiaoling’s shoulders and brought her in and sat her on a chair. “Eat up! You must be hungry.”
Xiaoling sat still, unsure if the food was poisonous. “Oh, don’t be shy. We don’t mind if you eat here! We’re so glad you’ve came back. You’ve grown up.”
What you talking ‘bout? I don’t even know you. *sniff* shit this food smells so nice. Wait it smells so….familiar? Xiaoling thought and took a fork and took a bite. *mentally face palms* How could you do this, Xiaoling! You’re not allowed to eat stranger’s food! “Oh, looked Chen! She’s not eating. She’s probably forgotten who we are. That’s so sad! She used to enjoy my home-made cookies and raiman. What poor girl!” The same person said.
“Oh, Clara. You remember she was only a young girl. And she had trouble with running away from her memories here.” The other person said. “Maybe she can’t hear any more.”
Tears were forming and Xiaoling was struggling to stop them from falling. She was not deaf nor did she not remember. (A/N: Ahahaha! Just telling you but part of this is like in a part of a book ‘Max Remy’ and how she is just angry or annoyed) Is just that old memories of these people and the town had flooded her mind with sad memories and happy ones she had to abandon. Xiaoling looked up with tears streaming down her face. “Hi Clara and Chen. It’s a long time since I was here. And I’m sorry I forgot who you were because I promised myself to forget no matter how hard and impossible it is.”
Xiaoling’s POV
Yes, my memories, I have promised myself with my brother and sister that we will never return and remember.
I now remember why I was afraid to come here. I remember why I was cautious on my way and why I remember so little. I remember all of them now and I remember our secret promise. My tears of sadness that I had always wanted to fall and let go, when I had to forget. I now regret not crying my feelings out, my anger and my loneliness.
Clara and Chen are people I trust and now, and I still trust them.
I believe that the tears are just memories and truth coming out. Like bubbles floating and you see your reflection of your past. This is what my sister told me when I was silent and angry after I had to forget. My sister’s words of comfort. But still I hate how she left without anyone knowing or what she’s doing. Or at least a reason, or her last words of courage, comfort, anything! Or a gift or at the very most, a note. I know I’ve been harsh towards my sister ever since she left but not after a few years later my brother left for his own journey as a Pokémon trainer. I know he didn’t say good bye face to face but he did left a note. I haven’t thrown it yet or more like never until he returns and stay permanently. But this all happened when I was still young and confused so I don’t really remember how they look like and I don’t look out to them anymore or as strongly as I used to. I still want to believe in them, how we will return together but…… I’ve return here by myself and my guides. I wish them luck. My guides and my family who will never return back to me.
After not so long of me crying I ate dinner which I had long for, ever since I had set out to search. Then I asked if I could call my guides to say I was with them. “Yes, don’t worry I’ll come back soon I might stay for a while or just for the night. And I still haven’t found my own way to go home so you’re still in debt with me, ‘kay.”
“Sure, Xiaoling! We’ll see you soon!”
End of call.
