The night went by silently, allowing the day to take its place.
As the first ray of light shone in through the windows, the girl finally snapped out of her daze.
"Yet another day..." She breathed as she stared out of the windows.
"...Without him." She added in her mind.
Just then, she felt it.
A movement beside her.
She looked to her side, alarmed, her thumping heart increase its beat gradually.
Him.
He was there, tired and sleeping like a baby, but yes, there.
Her eyes dilated.
Reaching out her right hand hesitantly, she struggled to just try to touch him.
Her fingers lightly brushed his cheek and she instinctively gasped at the warmth she felt.
The feather-light touch made the boy stirred in his sleep and she immediately retracted her hand.
But too late, he was awake already.
His eyes slowly opened and when he caught sight of the girl, he smiled.
"Good morning, baby." He greeted sleepily and ruffled her hair lightly.
It was like a normal day...before they broke up.
She froze and tears spilled down her face once more.
"What's wrong, baby?" He asked frantically, awakened by the sudden situation.
Lunging forward, she wrapped her arms around him and sobbed, "I thought you left me."
Smiling lightly, he patted her back gently and whispered, "Always here."
After a few minutes, her sobs lessened before stopping and he pulled away from her.
"Promise me, don't you dare to leave me just because someone threaten you with my life again." He stated as he turned to look at her.
Smiling through all the tears, she nodded, "I promise."
As the sun rose, the couple had their pinky fingers entwined as the world lit up with another two bright smiles that it had lost once.
