Meeting the stranger

J.J's POV

I grinned to myself as she walked out of the door.

What an interesting person.

I myself, also collected my belongings and dawdled out of the classroom, other students, I noticed, quickly trickled out of the classroom in an orderly fashion with their friends whilst I was alone in the hallway. It seemed as though everybody knew everyone.

Except me.

That was a good thing, it meant that no one knew who I was, a nobody. I like it.

Heading to my smaller metal locker across the hall, I also noted that a lot of the girls kept staring out me. Typical.

I slammed my locker shut and closed the new lock, it closed with a click and I walked down to the entrance of the school building. I wondered where that girl went, she was different, she had a personality that somewhat matched mine, she was ignoring me, rolling her eyes like she didn't care. Interesting.....

Her friend was also interesting, she was a bundle of energy and seemed eager to know me. Of course I was acting like a jerk, too good for anybody, it makes the girls like me even more, a mysterious kind of guy.

I remember that girl, she was a head shorter than me and seemed like a super happy kind of person.....she can make my school life interesting.......at least, until the end of this month.

As I exited the building, I saw the girl and her friend from before, the 'cool' one would be imposible to be in a relationship with. Considering her type of spicies.

They wer both talking to each other and walking together to the cafeteria and as they were walkng, the jumpy one tripped over, probably her foot, and fell flat on her face, the blades of grass tried their best not to be flattened bu the giant and her friend crouched down next to her and was laughing.

By this time, I had caught up to them both and said while smiling "Hello there klutz, need a little help?" I held my hand out and she took it, I pulled her up and she bushed the dirt off of her skirt and smiled at me.

She looked at our hands and let go quickly, blushing in the process..

"Thanks, I tend to do that a lot."

"Do what? Hold hands with guys?" I asked, making her face turn into a deep scarlet.

"Oh! Ummmm." she blushed and turned away, hiding behind her friend's shoulder.

"She means tripping over." she said cooly and turned on her heel and walked off to the cafeteria again with her friend in tow once again.

"What's your name?" I called out to her.

"You want to know?" she said turning her head to look over her shoulder. She was still walking but I could see her eyes looking into mine.

"Yes, your name and your friend's."

By this time, she stopped walking and was now facing me from a distance. "Her name," she said pointing her thumb at her friend "is Lillian. As for my name, I can't tell you." I recalled the last sentence from my attitude from before and smirked. "Thanks 'Sophia', sorry 'bout before Lillian."

"Sophia?" Lillian said. "Her name isn't 'Sophia', it's--"

"Sophia it is then," Her friend said, cutting Lillia off. "call me Sophia." she smiled at me and walked off, her long, dark brown hair flailing out behind her.

This time, Lillian didn't follow her, she walked towards me calmly held her hand out. "Let me introduce myself properly. My name is Lillian but you can call me Lilly for short, let's be friends?"

I took her hand and shook it once before letting go. "Nice to meet you."

"What's your name?"

"I can't tell you my name, I don't have one, not in English anyway."

"Huh?"

"I'm not from here."

"What?" she said "Who are you?"
