I pushed open the greenhouse door and there he was, painting away at his little white canvas. "Yo." I called out.
Ren jumped in his stool and turned around. "Oh! I didn't see you there." He said as he put his paint brush down. The tip was covered in teal paint.
I smiled and rolled my eyes, "Nooo, I thought you had eyes on the back of your head!" I said sarcastically.
Ren laughed. "So how'd it go?"
I guess I looked confused for a second because he continued, "The tests I mean." He added.
"Ohhh. That." I looked around. "The people at the main office are annoying. Blah blah blah this blah blah blah that." Then I said in a high pitched voice, "Why don't you take this test? You have two hours. Tell me when you're done!" I clapped my hands like a retarded seal, mocking the office ladies.
"Well," Ren wiped his paint-covered hands on his jeans. "let's get you a job." With that, he dragged me out of the green house and back onto main campus.
Along the way, we passed a couple of the "popular"girls, including Blondie, unfortunately. The Kings, (give me a second to puke. I just referred to them as "the kings") were also with them. They were hanging out near the lake where I first met them.
"By the way, Kyle's girlfriend's name is Charlotte." Ren whispered. He kept his head down. He was afraid to be picked on. I could feel the fear radiating from his pores. Guess my vamp senses didn't wear off completely yet, huh? I secretly grinned. It would be great to be half human, half vampire.
I walked up the stairs to the library but Ren practically ran. Once in, he let out a sigh of relief. I guess the "popular" kiddos seriously intimidated him.
He dragged me to the librarian's desk. "Um...excuse me?" Ren tried to catch the librarian's attention but the old lady was typing away at her computer. Were all the people at this school who were behind desks stuck on the computer?
Annoyed, I wolf-whistled. She turned around. "Oh hi!" She greeted. She pushed her glasses up her nose. "How may I help you?"
I nudged Ren. He was the one that brought me here anyway. He blinked back into reality, thinking of who knows what. "Oh, um, she" He motioned at me, "is looking for a job."
The old lady smiled and the corners of her eyes wrinkled. "Of course! Everyone is at this time! What a fine young lady! You can organize the books and CDs!" She clapped enthusiastically.
Note to self: All people here clap like retarded seals and live their life on the Internet.
"Okay!" I managed a weak smile and glared at Ren from the corner of my eye. Was I going to be stuck with this woman for the rest of the school year?
I strutted out of the library, fuming. Ren was right behind me. He clapped me on the back. "At least you got a job. Be glad you aren't in Biology. Cleaning up there is horrible. Now we gotta go get your schedule."
Once again, he dragged me off.
