POV Prince Kaelen: Surprise

I woke up after some hours of sleep, I felt something heavy on my chest.

“What…”

Eden was laying on me, sleeping very soundly.

“He’s so cute.”   I carefully sat up , and put his head in my lap.

I ruffled his hair and caressed his cheeks.

He suddenly woke up, he was still drowsy, and he rubbed his eyes.

“Good afternoon, did you sleep well?” , I asked just to see his reaction.

“Huh? Good aftern-AAH!”, he backed away from me , blushing from ear to ear.

I knew this would be his reaction, and I laughed.

“I—I am sorry . euh… I saw you laying in the grass, but I couldn’t wake you up,and…”

“It’s okay, I at least could see your cute sleeping face.” , I smiled.

“...So why were you sleeping here ?”

“Ah, I just wanted to be away from court, it was really tiring, and I hadn’t have enough sleep. When I came here, I just fell asleep.”

“It was a surprise to see someone here, normally nobody ever comes here.”

“I am sorry, if I interpret it correctly, this must be some secret spot of yours?”

“Oh no, not really, I just come here often.”

Silence fell upon us. Suddenly Edens stomach growled.

He was really embarrassed about it. I laughed again.

"Should I bring you home?"

“No , I don't really want to go home....”

As I thought, he doesn't have a thight bond with his family, I already noticed when I had his family at the party.

"I have a residence not far from here, I was planning to go there anyway, we can have dinner there."

"..Okay.."

I climbed my horse.” Where do you want to sit, in front  of me or behind me?”

“Be-behind !”, he said while climbing on.

“Hold on tight .” , I said as we departed.
