remarks ;
Papa's House, Mama's House is the story of three children dealing with their parent's separation. The book was written to show that a different family setup does not necessarily mean that it is all bad. The author wants to convey that children who are in this situation can also live a happy and normal life. What is noteworthy about this book is its use of things that children can easily understand (such as colors) to explain a sensitive topic: seperation. I believe that children who come from an alternative family setup, as well as their parents will appreciate this book. The message that it conveys is not really bound by age. This book helped me get a better grasp on how to write for children. Patindol has this way of presenting somber topics in a brighter light. Salvatus complements it with very colorful and animated illustrations.
