remarks ;
Adarna tells the tale of a magical bird and the adventure of the three princes of Berbania in order to capture it. The epic was originally attributed to Jose de la Cruz or Huseng Sisiw during the 18th century. The story conveys the triumph of those who are pure of heart over those who are in search of glory and power. What I find noteworthy about this adaptation is the use of more than one actor to represent a character to show the differents aspects or sides of the character, not just one dimentional figures. I honestly believe that this adaptation will be appreciated by all ages, regardless if they already know the story or not. The dialogues and the characters were remodelled as suit to today's standards and humor. I have always been a fan of DUP's adaptation of different plays and this one did not let me down. Compared to other plays, it focused more on the dimentions of the character rather than the set and the overall visual effects of the story.
