remarks ;
Adapted from Gilda Corder-Fernando's "The Magic Circle', the play follows the adventures of the boy Jepoy and his dog Galis. The story was written to remind children and adults alike of our responsibility to our environment. It also shows how rich the Filipino fold literature is even before the colonial periods. What is noteworthy about this play is its amazing costume and set design, employing glow in the dark and recycled items such as plastic spoons. The words used in this adaptation was very relevant and in the now, so the audience could relate especially with pop culture referencing jokes. Compared to other DUP plays, this particular play is heavy on costume and set design which can captivate young children's attention.
