Duglit, The Peski Blood Cell tells the story of how a small blood cell finds out his real importance in Mang Esmeng's body. Through the story we are introduced to different organs inside the body and learn the importance of blood in the human body. Through this informational story book, the author also conveys how everyone, no matter how small, has a role to play. What is note worthy about this book is that we do not only learn facts about the human body, it also tackles the issue of finding someone's niche or purpose. The illustrations also did well on giving Duglit and the other characters a unique personality. I could say that reading this book as a child really caused me to be more interested in facts about the body and science in general. In comparison to Gatmaitan's other works, Duglit is a memorable story as tha main character was really relatable even if it was not a human being but a blood cell.
