The song is about an ice cream man and how the singer wants ice cream on the beautiful summer day. It is trying to convey the good feelings of childhood during summer. It is noteworthy how this song is passed down to children these days and how most of us probably know it without actually knowing the singer or title. Children would appreciate this song as the theme is simple and gives off the childlike joy of having ice cream in a hot summer day. I remember that this song is played mostly in school programs like foundation day and the likes. Compared to other Celeste Legaspi songs, this one proves to be timeless as ice cream on hot summer is timeless.
